Swashbuckler
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
“Swashbuckler” is a 4D multiplayer VR game featured only at Royal Caribbean International’s Virtual Adventure Zone, where four players step into a 12-minute steampunk pirating adventure. In this game, guests wear various haptic devices and are free to roam, explore, and physically interact with the environment around them.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated prop and environment assets from art team, verifying alignments and materials for accuracy
Collaborated with concept artists and asset team to ensure intended art direction
Coordinated baked, realtime light, light volumes, and reflection probes with static, dynamic objects, and varying game scenes
Troubleshooted material and lighting anomalies
Created particle VFX and integrated texture assets from VFX artist
Assisted in the final installation with lighting optimization, polishes and asset integration
Tested build routinely with target VR device
